SAFETY FIRST

Arcons has launched massive Plan to improve safety in its construction sites. The plan, which was agreed by the managing board, aims to improve the performance of site staff and workers taking into consideration all recent updates in OSHA regulations.

Under the plan, all workers will receive mandatory one-day basic safety training and skilled workers will be obliged to partake in a construction safety certification scheme. All sites with more than 20 workers will have to have a workers' Safety Representative, whilst on the management side, site managers and supervisors will receive substantial training to fulfill the leading by example policy.

Most significantly, the Health and Safety department will double the numbers of inspections it carries out by the year 2008.

On the other hands Arcons makes sure to sign up its safety staff in safety and English language courses in order to keep them ready and aware with advanced techniques or equipments.
